A community garage with a single meter presents three challenges: distributing power, dividing costs, and being able to grow when more neighbors join.
How much charging power is available for each car?
The available power must be distributed in real-time among the cars that are charging at any given moment.
Who pays for the charges?
Each charge must be registered in the name of the person who made it, so that each neighbor pays only for what they used.
How many chargers can be installed?
The installation should be expandable with new chargers, without limit, as new neighbors join.
The solution
The hardware and software of V2C
The chargers and a meter at the connection point. And two cloud platforms: V2C Cloud distributes the power, V2C Payments distributes the cost.
Trydan Pro and Cloud Meter

- Trydan Pro, from 7.4 to 22 kW. It has an internal meter suitable for recharging energy and a card reader to identify each resident on the device itself.

- WiFi, Ethernet, or 4G. To function even in garages where the signal does not reach.

- Cloud Meter at the main connection. It knows how much power is available at any moment.

- V2C Cloud distributes the power
- Balances the available power among all chargers that are charging at the same time.

The neighbor registers and adds their card
They log into their account and add the payment method to be charged every month.

Management
Who manages the installation?
Two models, depending on how much the community wants to get involved. The same V2C technology in both.

Model A
Community self-management
The community itself, through its administrator, manages the installation with V2C Cloud and V2C Payments, and maintains direct control.
Service cost 5 % on what is chargedNo fixed monthly fee. All amounts collected from users of the charging points are considered charged amounts.
If the distribution is done manually, without automation, there is no cost.

Model B
Comprehensive management by a third party
If the community prefers to be worry-free, a third party takes over the entire management: meters, power, rates, and distribution, with transparent invoices and quarterly reports.
Management cost 10 % of consumption + 100 €/month fixed feeThe actual network costs — electricity, internet, meter — are distributed among the users.
The fixed fee can be covered by the community at the beginning, when there are few users.

Frequently Asked Questions
What communities ask the most
What is the Scheme 1 of electrical installation for electric cars?
It is the installation where all the charging points in the garage are connected to a single main meter, instead of one meter per household. It is common in new constructions and in buildings where the garage supply was never individualized.
How much does it cost to manage collective charging with V2C?
If the community manages the system on its own with V2C Cloud, the manual cost distribution has no cost. If automatic charging by card is activated with V2C Payments, the commission is 5% of the amount charged, with no fixed monthly fee.
Can we add chargers later without redoing the installation?
Yes. Each new neighbor only needs to connect the supply of their parking space to the existing main meter, and have their charging point connect to the garage’s WiFi. The system has no limit on the number of devices.
What happens if a neighbor does not pay for their consumption?
The administrator can block that specific user’s charging point from V2C Cloud, without affecting the rest of the community, until the payment is regularized.
Do we need internet in the garage?
Yes, it is the only infrastructure requirement: a WiFi network in the parking area so that the chargers are within the V2C Cloud system. Trydan Pro also supports wired Ethernet connection if the WiFi signal is weak.
How does Trydan Pro differ from the standard Trydan charger for this use?
Trydan Pro adds Ethernet and 4G connectivity, an RFID reader to identify each owner, and the possibility of a MID meter: everything needed for a multi-user environment.
