What is the POS and how does it work?
The POS is our new payment terminal, incorporated into Pole Pro to further facilitate payment by credit or debit card. No sign-ups, no apps, no complications. The new payment method from V2C Payments is designed to simplify and ease the charging of electric vehicles, making it more accessible in both public and private locations.
Now, with the e-Charger Pole Pro, you can monetise your charger in the simplest way. This integrated payment system allows other e-mobility users to take advantage of your e-Charger without the need for apps or prior registration—they simply pay and charge.
Operation for users
Step-by-step guide to charging your vehicle with the POS.
The POS allows any user to charge in a simpler and quicker way.
To start, connect your electric vehicle’s cable to one of the available sockets on the Pole Pro. This is the first essential step to initiating the charging of your car.
Verify that your vehicle is correctly connected and that the indicator at the bottom of the screen closest to the chosen socket appears green. Additionally, instead of displaying ‘free’, it should display ‘connected’, confirming that everything is ready to proceed.
The charger’s screen will display the rates in euros per kW and per hour, and will also prompt you to bring your card closer to the payment terminal. This will allow you to know the exact cost of the charge before proceeding*.
When making the payment, a provisional amount will be held on your card. However, only the exact amount corresponding to the energy used to charge your vehicle will be charged.
If the payment is successful, the charging will begin, and the screen will show the charging time, energy, and power consumed. The indicator at the bottom of the screen should appear blue with the message ‘charging’.
If the payment is not processed correctly, the system will automatically restart the process.
Charging control for users
As a user, you can monitor the operation at any time in a simple and convenient way, by simply scanning the QR code that appears on the screen during the charge.
While your vehicle is charging, you will be able to see the power, accumulated kWh, elapsed time, and approximate cost in euros.
At the end of the charge, all total values will be displayed, and you will have the option to download the invoice with a single click on the ‘Download invoice’ button.
