MID meter

The MID meter is an electrical measuring device that complies with the requirements set by European Directive 2014/32/EU, known as the MID Directive (Measuring Instruments Directive).

MID meters enable accurate recording of the energy consumed during electric vehicle charging, especially when certified measurement is required for billing purposes. Thanks to their MID certification, these meters allow operators, businesses, and individuals to ensure transparency in electricity consumption billing.

In addition to their use in EV chargers, MID meters are also employed in industrial, commercial, and residential installations where precision and traceability of energy data are essential.

How to connect the MID meter

The MID meter is powered by the phase injected from the protection block. As shown in the image, the Neutral wire (blue cable) enters and exits through the top connectors of the meter, while Phase 1 enters and exits through the bottom connectors.

If no MID meter is installed, the option ‘No’ must be selected.
