V2C presents the world’s first 100% wireless energy meter.

On our way to Power2Drive 2026, we officially present the world’s first 100% wireless energy meter.

A device that eliminates wiring from the root. No data cable. No power cable. No electrical constraints. Just a clamp, a meter, and direct communication with the V2C charger using long-range LoRa technology.

In this way, it is now possible to perform dynamic power control 100% wirelessly. Everything is much simpler, faster, and more cost-effective for the installer.

What makes it different?

There are wireless solutions on the market. But they all have one thing in common: they require external power supply. They are wireless in communication, but not in the power source. The new meter from V2C is different in both ways. It does not need a data cable.

How does it work?

The system consists of three elements that work together:

The power clamp

It is installed after the customer’s main meter. Through electromagnetic induction, it directly obtains the energy needed to power the meter from the current of the installation itself.

The meter with LoRa technology

It communicates directly with the V2C charger using LoRa technology — a long-range wireless communication specially designed for environments where the WiFi signal does not reach or is unreliable. No need to go through the customer’s router, no passwords, no connection drops.

The ammeter clamps

They measure the total consumption of the installation and send the data to the meter for precise and real-time dynamic power control. Optionally, a second clamp allows for measuring the photovoltaic production, making the system compatible with solar installations without the need for additional hardware.

Availability

The new 100% wireless energy meter from V2C will be available for marketing in Q4 of 2026.
