We introduce SmartLock, the new technology available in the Trydan e-Charger that redefines the way we interact with the charger, offering unprecedented connectivity and a smarter, more efficient charging experience.
With this latest functionality, based on Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology, Trydan is able to automatically unlock when it detects the proximity of a device such as a smartwatch, key fob, fitness wristband or…. even when it detects your own car!
How it works
Automatic unlocking and locking ensures safe and fast access to the charger when the presence of the paired device is detected. If the device moves out of range, the charger will automatically lock, except when an electric car is connected, thus maintaining uninterrupted charging.
In addition to this automatic function, users retain the ability to manually lock and unlock the charger via the V2C Cloud app, ensuring a charging experience adaptable to their individual preferences.

What is BLE technology?
BLE technology enables a wireless connection between Trydan V2C chargers and Bluetooth 4.0 compatible devices. This cutting-edge feature enables automatic unlocking and locking of the charger through detection of paired devices, completely revolutionising the charging experience.
By enabling the connection of up to five Bluetooth devices, BLE technology not only enables automatic unlocking and locking of the charger, but also provides user identification to generate detailed statistics, accessible exclusively via the www.v2c.cloud web portal or mobile app.
Compatibility with a wide range of devices
The versatility of BLE technology is reflected in its wide compatibility with a variety of Bluetooth 4.0 devices, from Bluetooth tags such as Apple’s AirTag to (Android) smartwatches and fitness wristbands. For proper operation, it is important that the device has a static MAC address.
Future updates will enable the functionality on new iOS devices.
How devices are paired
The pairing process is simple and quick: when you bring your Bluetooth device close to the e-Charger, it automatically establishes a connection with the nearest Bluetooth device or e-Key. See SmartLock settings for detailed instructions on pairing devices.
