The rise of e-commerce drives the sale of electric vehicles.

Spain is one of the countries where online sales have increased the most. Our country is the fourth European country where e-commerce has grown the most, and this is one of the reasons why it is expected that within approximately 10 years, the majority of vans and company cars circulating in cities and performing delivery tasks will be electric.

We can say that we are at the right moment to incorporate electric models into company vehicle fleets. Nissan, one of the car brands that sells the most electric vehicles, proposes a new electric van model for companies that need to purchase electric vehicles for delivery tasks within cities.

The trend is clear; companies are betting on electric vans and electric cars to solve pollution problems and avoid traffic restrictions due to pollution.

What is the new Nissan electric van, e-NV200, like?

This Nissan electric van is the best-selling electric LCV in Spain and Europe and is manufactured in Barcelona for the whole world. The battery of this electric vehicle has been upgraded, increasing from 20kWh to 40kWh, the same battery that the new Nissan Leaf incorporates.

However, this van presented by Nissan is not only suitable for transporting goods; it is also used for transporting people. For this, Nissan proposes the EVALIA version, the only certified electric taxi for transporting people with reduced mobility. EVALIA has a Taxi version and another Eurotaxi version.

The electric van e-NV200 is equipped with smart power; with its new 40kWh battery, it can travel 200 km in a combined cycle and 300 km of range in the city. It is also equipped with smart integration; like the Leaf, it has a portable battery of 40kWh, allowing us to connect the new electric van through bidirectional chargers, the new e-NV200 to our offices, or even return energy.

This new proposal from Nissan allows for a simpler and more efficient driving experience thanks to the possibility of fast charging in just 40 minutes, the new navigation system, and a series of new online services via NissanConnect EV.

Now, for companies to incorporate electric cars and electric vans into their vehicle fleets, they will need charging points for these commercial vehicles.

For a company to install charging points, it is advisable to conduct a study of the needs of the sustainable electric mobility plan that companies have designed.

The needs that companies usually have regarding charging points are various. We typically consider three scenarios.

1.- Company fleets. For company fleets, a study is usually conducted for the implementation of charging points; installation companies offer needs analysis services, purchase, and installation of charging points. Charging point installation companies provide supplies of charging points and leasing of charging points.

2.- Charging points for company employees. Normally, charging point installers also offer charging point solutions for employees, including the option for payment via mobile phone.

3.- Charging points for customers. Many companies allow their customers to charge their electric cars. This service is excellent if you want to retain electric vehicle users.

These are the different options for installing charging points in companies.
