How long does the Trydan Pro SIM last?

Trydan Pro includes a free 500 MB SIM, valid for up to 9 years from purchase.
Under normal use, data typically lasts around 3 years.

You can:

  • Replace the SIM with another operator’s SIM (the SIM is physically integrated on the control board), or
  • Recharge via the app for €15, adding another 500 MB for 9 years

Non-standard uses (APIs, OCPP, intensive cloud usage) may significantly increase data consumption.

Power Control & Energy Management

What is “Infinite Impedance”?

“Infinite Impedance” is a V2C technology that prevents the electricity meter from detecting the EV charging point.

This makes the charger behave as if it were not directly connected to the grid, avoiding incidents or lockouts after power outages. Resetting the installation is as simple as switching the main breaker off and on.

This system complies with ITC BT-52 (Installation Scheme 2), ensuring electrical safety and regulatory compliance.
https://v2charge.com/es/soporte/trydan/impedancia-infinita/

What cable length does Trydan have?

Trydan can be purchased with a 5 m or 10 m cable.
Note that the 5 m length is measured from inside the charger, so the external usable length may be 10–20 cm shorter.

What is the Tesla button cable?

The Tesla button integrated in the enhanced Trydan version allows:

  • Opening the Tesla charging port
  • Unlocking the connector

directly from the connector, without using the app, key or vehicle interface.
This simplifies and speeds up the charging experience for Tesla users.
https://v2charge.com/es/trydan-boton-tesla/

What is Power Control?

V2C’s Power Control system distributes available energy between chargers and the household or business electrical network, preventing the contracted power from being exceeded and ensuring efficient charging.

Power Control modes:

  • Dynamic: Real-time energy adjustment between chargers and/or photovoltaic installations
  • Static: Fixed energy balance, ideal for stable and predictable consumption
  • Cloud: Remote management via V2C servers

The system is compatible with solar installations and integrates with inverters to maximize photovoltaic usage.
Its main function is to monitor real-time consumption and automatically adjust charging power to avoid overloads.
https://v2charge.com/es/soporte/control-potencia/

Does Trydan include an energy meter?

Yes. Trydan includes the ControlBox 2.0, a V2C-developed energy meter with PoE functionality powered via Ethernet.

It includes:

  • 1 clamp for single-phase installations
  • 3 clamps for three-phase installations

Additional clamps are required for photovoltaic installations and are not included.

V2C Payments & Cloud

What is V2C Payments?

V2C Payments is an easy-to-use payment solution integrated into V2C chargers.
It is a free platform that allows you to generate revenue by making your charger available to other EV users (compatible with any cloud-enabled charger).
https://v2charge.com/es/soporte/v2c-cloud/configuracion-v2c-payments/

How does V2C Payments work?

V2C acts as the charge manager:

  • We collect 100% of user payments
  • We transfer 95% to the charger owner within the first 5 days of each month via bank transfer

There are two actors:

  • Promoter: Charger owner or manager
  • User: EV driver using the charger

More information:
https://v2charge.com/es/v2c-payments/

Where can I find V2C Payments invoices?

When charging via V2C Payments and activating the session from the app, invoices are available in the charger owner’s user account.

What is EcoCharging?

EcoCharging is V2C’s intelligent charging management system that optimizes charging schedules to minimize energy costs.

It automatically starts and stops charging based on electricity tariffs to maximize savings.
https://v2charge.com/es/ecocharging/

How does EcoCharging know my electricity tariff?

You configure your tariff manually:

  • Flat tariffs
  • Daily variable tariffs (hourly pricing)
  • Hourly and weekday-based tariffs

You can also select indexed or spot market tariffs, which vary daily by country.

How does EcoCharging know how long to charge?

You must indicate:

  • Departure time
  • Required additional charge percentage

Alternatively, AI can learn your charging patterns after 5–15 charging sessions.

Does Pole Pro’s payment terminal have monthly fees?

No. V2C Payments has no monthly fees for customers.

What is V2C Cloud?

V2C Cloud is a platform that allows you to manage chargers, view charging statistics and configure settings remotely via the app or web portal.
https://v2charge.com/es/soporte/trydan/manual-usuario/

API, Application & Integrations

How can I connect to the V2C Cloud API?

Solar Inverters & Compatibility

Which inverters are compatible with V2C Trydan?

V2C Trydan is compatible with a wide range of solar inverters.

Some inverters communicate wirelessly using protocols such as Modbus TCP/IP, HTTP or UDP, while others require wired RTU communication.

This flexibility allows Trydan to integrate with different photovoltaic systems efficiently.

Yes, a three-phase charger can charge in single-phase by changing the configuration (Trydan only; it is not allowed on Pole Pro).

What types of APIs do V2C chargers have?
All V2C chargers have the following APIs;
Cloud API, works through servers. Internet connection required, see documentation here; https://api.v2charge.com/
Local APIs. All Trydan and Trydan Pro have Modbus TCP, RTU, and HTTP request. See information here; https://v2charge.com/es/soporte/trydan/. The Pole has Modbus TCP https://v2charge.com/es/soporte/pole-pro/.
OCPP. All chargers have OCPP 1.6

Has my charger remained on the updating screen?
If the connection with our server is lost during the update, the update will stop. Cut the power to the charger and start again; this does not pose any risk to the charger.
