Are the installation measurements incorrect, unusual, or wrong?

To assess the problem, the first thing to do is to check which meter/inverter we are working with to perform the power control functions.

  1. Remember if we are using the controlbox 2.0 meter (the installation must have clamp 1 on the general connection that includes all consumption). Clamp 4, if applicable, if there is a solar installation, will be placed on 4 reading the solar installation. If this is not done, the measurements will not be correct.
  2. If a bidirectional meter is installed, regardless of brand and model, the meter’s reading clamps must be placed on the total consumption of the installation. This includes the car and the charging point.
  3. If connected to an inverter, the measurements will reflect the consumption indicated by the inverter. Remember that the car must also be “seen” by the meter.

Explanation of V2C dynamic control errors

This usually refers to a problem with your Trydan V2C electric vehicle charger, typically a communication failure with the car or the network, indicated by a red or yellow light and a code on the screen. The solution ranges from restarting the device or disconnecting the vehicle to recalibrate from the app (V2C Cloud), to updating the firmware, checking physical connections, or temporarily disabling dynamic charging.

How can I get Wi-Fi in my garage if I don’t have a signal from my house?

If you have a trydan with Wi-Fi communication, there are different ways to connect to Wi-Fi.

  1. PLC router. A PLC router allows you to transmit your internet connection through the power supply. It is very important that the transmitter in your home is connected to the main electrical panel. Currently, our customers report that some PLCs work very well, some work sometimes, and some never work. In our experience, it depends a lot on the distance, how close the transmitter is to the main panel. Also, if other neighbors have these devices, it works worse because there is more noise on the network.
  2. Connection with a 4G router. If you have purchased the Trydan PRO, the 4G router is already included in the product and you do not need to do anything else. It connects automatically. If you have a Trydan, you will need to purchase a 4G Wi-Fi router and place it next to the charging point.
  3. Other options
    1. Run an Ethernet cable to the garage (the standard Trydan does not have an Ethernet port, so you will need to use an Ethernet-to-Wi-Fi converter; the Trydan Pro does have internet).
    2. Some cars allow you to create a Wi-Fi hotspot where you could connect it.

The “Wake Up” mode prevents the vehicle from going to sleep and ensures that charging starts.
